The 116th California Rodeo Salinas has officially conclused, wrapping up four performances at the Salinas Sports Complex and closing out what has become one of the most economically influential western events in the country. The week began with Big Week Bull Riding, part of the PRCA’s Xtreme Bulls Tour, and carried through themed rodeo performances including Bucking Cancer Night and Ag Appreciation Night. But the rodeo itself was only one piece of a much larger system.
