EP. 105 - The Kentucky Derby with Alden Stehly
Alden Stehly is a the third-generation of her family to be a part of the Thoroughbred Racehorse scene. Her great grandfather was the first to catch the bug after owning stockyards throughout southern California and being asked to auctioneer for a racehorse sale. He changed the game of racehorse auctions from slower paced, art gallery style bidding, to the cadence and energy that we are familiar with from the cattle sales pens.
Alden's father joined the profession as well and her mother created a legacy for herself as a pinhooker who created great horses ready to be topped (or ridden). A pinhooker is someone who takes a weanling and then grows/trains them out to a yearling, or a yearling to a two-year-old. Alden has followed her parents' profession as a pinhooker.
Alden discusses all things Kentucky Derby from the controversies, the celebrities, the fashion, and, most importantly, the horses.

Ep. 103 - Round 9 Recap, National Finals Rodeo 2021
After 100's of rodeos competed in from October 2020 to September 2021, after horse changes, injuries and unforeseen obstacles have forced flexibility and perseverance, and after nine grueling rounds of the Super Bowl of Rodeo - the National Finals Rodeo Round 10 kicks off TONIGHT.
And it's going to be one to remember. Nearly every event comes down to a coin flip over who could win and, if those top two contestants have a bobble in the average or in the day money, there's another two right behind them - hungry for the chance. Rachel and Katie jump through the NFR by the Numbers and what the stats are telling us, how your favorite contestant needs to compete and what the fates need to do for them to win.
